About Crack-Ajax
About Crack-Ajax
Who runs Crack-Ajax Web Technologies?
Donnie Seigler. He founded the company in 2015 and still runs it as a one-person shop. Call and he answers. Email and he replies. No account managers between you and the work.
How long has Crack-Ajax been in business?
Since 2015. More than a decade of WordPress, WooCommerce, and small business work. Some clients have been with us the whole time.
Where are you located?
Based in Commerce City, Colorado, with an office at 800 East 73rd Avenue in Denver. Working with clients across the Front Range, Colorado, and beyond.
Do you work with clients outside Colorado?
Yes. Plenty of our clients are outside the Denver metro. WordPress work happens over the internet, so location matters less than fit.
Do you hire out work to freelancers or offshore developers?
No. Every line of code, every ticket response, every support call comes from Donnie directly. That’s the whole business model.
Websites & design
Websites & design
What does a small business website cost?
Most of our small business sites land between $2,500 and $7,500 depending on pages and features. Larger projects with e-commerce or custom functionality can go higher. Every quote is fixed-price after a short discovery call.
How long does it take to build a new website?
Typical timeline is 3–6 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on scope, content readiness, and how quickly we get feedback. Emergency rebuilds can move faster.
Do I own my website when it’s done?
Yes. You own the code, the content, the domain, and the design. If you ever want to leave, we hand it all over — no lock-in.
What’s Improvise, your theme framework?
Improvise is our own hybrid WordPress theme framework, built to give small businesses custom-feeling sites without custom-everything prices. It uses ACF to populate theme.json design tokens, which means we can brand and structure a site rapidly without inventing the wheel each time.
Do you only work with WordPress?
WordPress is our specialty and where we deliver the most value. We’re also comfortable with WooCommerce, custom PHP, headless setups, and static site work when it fits the project.
Hosting, maintenance & security
Hosting, maintenance & security
What’s included in your managed WordPress hosting?
Every plan includes fully managed hosting, daily offsite backups, SSL certificates, 24/7 uptime and security monitoring, WordPress core and plugin updates, malware scanning and removal, hardened server security, and priority emergency response. Higher tiers add content update hours and dedicated developer time.
Do I have to switch hosts to work with you?
For managed hosting, yes — that’s how we can guarantee performance, security, and response times. Migration is included at no charge and typically takes a day or two with no downtime. If you’d rather stay on your current host, our support plans cover maintenance and updates without changing where your site lives.
What happens if my site gets hacked or breaks?
Hosting clients skip the emergency queue. Monitoring usually catches issues before you notice. When something does go wrong, a real Denver developer is working on it within the hour. Malware cleanup, restore from backup, and root-cause fixes are all included, not extra invoices.
Can you handle regular content updates for me?
Yes. Our Growth and Premium plans include monthly content update hours so small edits, new blog posts, staff changes, and product updates don’t sit for weeks waiting for someone to get to them. You email, we handle it, usually same day.
Are there long-term hosting contracts?
No annual contracts and no setup fees. Everything is month-to-month. If it’s ever not working, tell us and we’ll fix it or you cancel. We’d rather keep clients because we’re worth it than trap them in paperwork.
Support & emergencies
Support & emergencies
How fast do you respond to support requests?
Most support tickets get a response within the hour during business hours. True emergencies get bumped to the front automatically.
What counts as an emergency?
Site down, hacked, throwing critical errors, or anything stopping customers from reaching or using your site. If you’re not sure, submit a ticket and mark it urgent — we’ll tell you.
Do I need to be a hosting client to get support?
No. Support tickets are open to any WordPress site, whether we host it or not. Hosting clients skip the queue on emergencies.
What if my site is completely down right now?
Call directly at (720) 202-6148 for the fastest response. Or submit an urgent ticket — either way, a real developer picks it up.
How much does emergency support cost if I’m not a hosting client?
Emergency work for non-hosting clients is billed at our after-hours rate of $270/hr. Standard support work is $180/hr. Hosting clients have emergency response included in their plan.
WooCommerce
WooCommerce
Can you fix a WooCommerce store that’s already broken?
Yes. Checkout errors, plugin conflicts, and performance issues are some of the most common tickets we get.
Can you set up a new payment gateway for me?
Yes. PayPal, Stripe, Square, Authorize.net, or another provider — we’ll get it configured and tested so payments actually go through.
Do you build custom WooCommerce plugins?
Yes. We’ve built custom loyalty programs, wholesale pricing tools, VIP order handling, quiz enforcement, and other business-rule plugins when WooCommerce doesn’t do something out of the box.
My theme and WooCommerce don’t look right together — can you fix that?
Yes, one of the most common requests we get. We track down the styling or layout conflict and get your store looking the way it should.
Training & consulting
Training & consulting
Do you offer WordPress training?
Yes. One-on-one sessions, on-site team training, and small group sessions. Real skills, plain English, no topic too big or too small.
How much does training cost?
Billed at our standard hourly rate. Most one-on-one sessions run 1–2 hours; team on-site sessions vary by group size and topic. Contact us for a quote.
Can training happen remotely?
Yes. One-on-one sessions work well over screen share. On-site training is available for teams who want in-person work at your office.
Will training happen on my live site?
For team training, no — each participant gets their own sandbox site, an exact replica of yours, so your live site is never at risk while everyone learns.
SEO & GEO
SEO & GEO
Do you offer SEO services?
Yes. Technical SEO, content strategy, local SEO, and on-page optimization. We have a dedicated SEO Services page for traditional SEO work.
What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?
GEO is the practice of getting your business cited when someone asks an AI tool like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Google’s AI Overview a question your business could answer. It’s SEO for AI, not just Google.
Is GEO going to replace traditional SEO?
No. Google still drives most search traffic, and traditional SEO still matters. But an increasing share of searches now happens through AI, and that share isn’t going backwards. Modern strategy covers both.
Can you actually get my business cited by ChatGPT?
We can dramatically improve the odds. AI engines cite specific, structured, authoritative content on topics they trust the source for. We build that content and the structural signals AI models look for.
AI services
AI services
What AI services do you offer?
Three main service areas: AI chatbots and lead capture, Content SEO and GEO, and workflow automation. All custom-built for small business, no enterprise price tag.
How much does an AI chatbot cost?
Setup starts at $495 for a lead-capturing chatbot, with no ongoing SaaS subscription on top. Workflow automation is billed at our standard $180/hr rate.
Can you build custom AI tools for my business?
Yes. We built a PDF estimate generator for Paramount AV that turns a form into a polished estimate in under 3 minutes. The same approach works for any quote-heavy, intake-heavy, or report-heavy business.
Is my data safe with your AI tools?
Yes. We build and host our AI tools on infrastructure we already manage, not a third-party platform reselling your data. You own the conversations and the data they produce.
How is your AI different from ChatGPT or SaaS chatbots?
Our tools are trained specifically on your business, wired to your calendar or inbox, and set up to escalate to a real person when it matters. A generic ChatGPT plugin doesn’t know your services, pricing, or policies.
Pricing & contracts
Pricing & contracts
Are there long-term contracts or setup fees?
No annual contracts and no setup fees on hosting or support plans. Everything is month-to-month. Fixed-price projects are billed by milestone.
What are your hourly rates?
Standard support and development work is $180/hr. After-hours emergency work is $270/hr. Hosting clients have priority emergency response included in their plan.
Do you require monthly retainers?
For hosting and support plans, yes — those are inherently monthly. Project work is quoted fixed-price where possible so you know the number up front.
How does billing work?
Monthly plans are billed monthly via credit card or ACH. Projects are typically billed 50% at kickoff, 50% at launch. Support work is billed as it’s completed.
What if I’m not happy with the work?
Tell us. We’ll fix it or you cancel. No annual contracts and no cancellation fees — we’d rather keep clients because we’re worth it than trap them in paperwork.
Didn’t find your question?
Ask directly. Call or send a note and we’ll answer personally, usually within the hour during business hours.
